your reflection hovering above crystal clear waters smooth as glass,
if one were to perceive the illusion
mirroring your
image.
Were
it your eyes
which looked about
rather inquisitively, I had first
noticed,
Looking as though you were seeing all you had for the very first
time through childlike eyes.
To have seen you
the way I
had…
Was I to have kept the moment which had left me intrigued
as was she. I fear if I had let it slip past,
what I recollect every
now and
then.
It all will have meant nothing; the increment of time, the moment
which had become
a memory.
It is only in our dreams, we are rebirthed in our original form,
after becoming a mere facsimile of whom
we once were, our
shape,
more readily identifiable, as we navigate through time portals
in our attempt to arrive at the correct
conclusion…
In primordial time, we only existed
for ourselves and no
other,
but as we grew to maturity within the passage of millenniums,
we became aware there were others, other than
ourselves, if only momentarily,
frightened,
if we allowed them to more than linger, we would be forced
to assimilate into someone or something
we never were at our
beginning.
