Wanted – a foster home for Sher

He is a cat called, Sher. But, unlike his name, he is no tiger. In fact, Sher is a tomcat who has gone through a horrible ordeal.
A Whatsapp message relieved me of his load. Sher, a ten-month-old rusty striped kitten, is believed to be at a veterinary clinic. He had double-eye enucleation surgery and was also treated for toxoplasmosis (a parasitic illness) and gut septicity. That’s too many large words for a simple narrative – Sher is blind and in need of a home.

I’m not sure what caused his blindness or who brought him to the vet. But Sher has fully recovered; he is healthy and happy, and he gets along well with the other cats and dogs at the clinic.  All of this despite his flaws and the pain he’s gone through.

Sher, like most cats, is friendly and loving, and has been dewormed, completely vaccinated, and neutered. He’s all set to depart. But no one seemed to desire him.

“Sher is the cutest, most precious little button,” the person who put out the appeal concludes. He’s a lovely young man who is completely relaxed. Super quiet and simple to handle, wash, medication, and so forth.”

Every cat, according to legend, has nine lives. But I’m not sure what will happen to Sher if he doesn’t find a good home with a cat lover. While I enjoy cats, I am unable to accept Sher.
