There is no single explanation for what spirituality means. Or the precise steps it takes to find happiness in life by improving the soul. Understanding spirituality and what it means will help you find a better and brighter path to happiness. Once you begin the journey of accepting your spiritual nature, you will also find a way to experience more happiness in your life. The path to spiritual happiness is a practice that you must learn to follow every day.
With spiritual well-being, you can see the world in a realistic light – seeing, experiencing, and responding to all the chaos that life can sometimes seem to be chaotic. Spiritual happiness doesn’t mean you should ignore the world’s tragedies. Nor does it mean you never have to face difficulties in your personal life. Mentally happy people are always optimistic about the future, even when they have no reason to do so.
For example, they are grateful for nature, learning opportunities, and the smallest moments of joy. People who have attained spiritual happiness do not try to force themselves to improve in ways that are not natural to them. Anyone who is spiritually happy can use their strengths because they have taken the time to get to know themselves and this allows them to flourish more than most people can achieve.
Happy People….
Happy people tend to experience pleasurable emotions, but they also see their lives as meaningful, meaning they feel like they are somehow contributing to their community and impacting the world around them. In fact, positive psychology research shows that spiritual people generally have more positive relationships with their spouses, children, and friends. Which perhaps should come as a surprise given the fact that scientists have found time and time again that those who engage in spiritual practice or follow religious beliefs tend to be happier than those who do not.
Study after study has found that religious people tend to be less depressed and anxious than non-believers. They are better at coping with life’s ups and downs than non-believers. A key point of the study is that while most researchers said they were concerned with the “effects” of religion on mental health. The vast majority only showed that religious and spiritual people reported higher levels of well-being and mental health. Interestingly, research shows a strong relationship between religious and spiritual commitment (practice) and happiness.
Because spirituality is deeply rooted in providing meaning, it is a direct path to greater happiness. Most people agree that the spiritual essence should represent the best part of your nature. And the more you cultivate it through self-improvement and enlightenment, the more likely you are to live a happier life. For those who may not believe in the afterlife or religion itself, the spiritual side of your life still exists and needs to develop in order for you to find true happiness.
Remember that being spiritual is not something that requires a lot of work or feeling bad.
If you are not a spiritual or religious person, your search for destiny is no less than that of those who are; your meaning and purpose is as sacred as any other. Whether it is because of a sense of support from a higher power or the ability to obey the Divine Will, spiritual people identify life as intentional, not random and meaningless. Spirituality calms the order of things and generally encourages optimism and the pursuit of a joyful life.
Spirituality and prayer also give people the opportunity to participate in the meditative act. Both spirituality and organized religion can help people see perspective, hope, and a deeper sense of meaning. Interestingly, many people go through their lives without knowing who they really are. Meditation is a great way to connect with your inner thoughts and form the basis for your spiritual quest.
These questions swirl in our minds day after day, and this journey can lead you to discover the spiritual practices that lead to happiness. Here’s the thing: you can never truly commit yourself to a spiritual journey unless you find a way to make yourself happier while doing it. It’s a good idea to take that first step on your true path quickly. Start right now thinking only about the thoughts that will bring you health and happiness.
With the blessing of the heart, you will be ready, inspired, and light-hearted about life; happiness will follow you like a cute puppy. Believing that good things can and will happen is enough to make anyone happy. And if you look deep enough into it, it becomes a profound happiness. Trust me; you can enjoy the many benefits of smart and purposeful optimism, including bright and fresh sunlight for mental well-being.
Be Spiritually Happy…
You don’t have to be a Marxist to believe that materialism is essential to happiness. People living in prosperous and wealthy countries are generally happier than those who don’t. Neither do you need a spiritual teacher to tell you. But, for a spiritual person like you, physical and mental health go hand in hand. And it’s a great way for people to focus on their personal journey.
