In the vibrant universe of Instagram, Sanjay Dutt emerges not just as a man but as a brawny spectacle at 64. His robust physique isn’t just a symbol of status; it’s a canvas that screams hard work—something money can’t buy, inherit, steal, or borrow. It demands constant endeavour, revealing dedication, discipline, self-respect, and an unwavering passion.
What draws me to Sanjay Dutt is more than his sculpted form; it’s the essence of his latest Instagram post. Dark hooded eyes scrutinize tattooed biceps and brawny forearms amidst the intensity of his workout. A snug black singlet hugs his barrel-like chest, concealing beneath it an astonishingly trim waist. The salt-and-pepper look peeks from beneath a fresh hair dye, creating an aura of ageless vitality.
At 64, Dutt’s stride may have lost the panther-like grace inherited from his father, Sunil Dutt, but in its place strides a lion in winter, measured and deliberate. Despite the years, Dutt playfully embraces his senior status, relishing the perks like Income Tax relief, as he shared with a broad grin on his 60th birthday.
He’s not just a tough man; he embodies the characters he portrays on screen—indestructible, hardened by the twists of fate he invited upon himself. Beyond the retirement age in India, Dutt reinvents himself with new projects and an evolving image. A sensation not only in Bollywood but also in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Punjabi cinema, he seamlessly transitions from the righteous cop, brimming with action, to the deliciously evil antagonist. There’s no middle ground for Dutt.
In a move reminiscent of Hollywood greats, he steps into the realm of ageing heroes—Al Pacino, Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington, Robert de Niro, Liam Neeson, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I want to play myself in my age,” he asserts.
Meeting him is an experience. An aura precedes him, parting the room like the Red Sea before Moses. His greetings, marked by the “jadoo ki jhappi” patented in ‘Munna Bhai,’ reveal a warmth beyond the machismo. I consider myself fortunate to be among those who know that beneath the swagger lies the soft heart of a genuinely warm and caring individual. I’m familiar with that person, and it’s a privilege.
