I long for your touch, a whisper of your smile, another moment of a remembrance before the memory evaporates, regrettably, escaping in an undulating current
of thin air… Are they always destined to fade, the images I have captured within a photograph, momentarily, as I found the moment temporarily
existing, the curvature of your lips I caressed with a kiss. I am not one to
acknowledge my existence. Rather, I prefer to describe myself as one being held captive in a diminutive state, one described as a subatomic particle floating about aimlessly within the dark betwixt dark matter and the unimaginable miles of empty space which lay far and near amongst the stars…
Self-sustaining one, with an insatiable thirst for gamma rays, devouring what light,
and any and all energy lying within an electromagnetic field which may surround me.
Produced by the hottest and most energetic objects in the universe, such as neutron stars, pulsars, supernova explosions and regions around black holes.
Although, I must admit, I am particularly shy of alpha and beta radiation, which may interact with my activities I find detrimental to my health.
