When she got paralyzed, she remembers how she felt everything had ended. A ten-year-old who loved to tap feet to peppy numbers could no longer stand up on her own.
However, she soon made peace with her destiny and ignored all the negativity surrounding her. Her inclination towards art and cinema made her take part in discrete events. She got rejected many times merely because it was difficult to accommodate the role of a girl who uses a wheelchair in school plays.
However, she refused to bend down to the situation. And it was her fighting spirit that was acknowledged and appreciated in the hit television show, India’s Best Cine Stars Ki Khoj.
Selected in the first round, she prepared monologs to check her acting prowess in different scenes. However, her condition once again became a roadblock for her when she got disqualified in the dance round.
“It did not make me sad. I knew I could not stand; how would I dance? I was happy for all the appreciation I got from the audience,” she says with no hard feelings.
As of now, she is busy honing her skills and working on a music video on women’s issues. She is also trying her luck in the Telugu TV industry.
