As a 66-year-old actor, Denzel Washington is my go-to screen idol. He has a Cherry Blossom face and a dazzling smile on his dark good looks, and he is the epitome of grace, dignity, humanity, and inner strength.
‘The Little Things will be released in January, and Denzel plays a burned-out county deputy sheriff with an extremely accurate nose for “little things” who assists an LAPD detective in catching a wily serial killer. As a neo-noir crime psychological thriller, the film is a stylish Hollywood crime drama with a twisted dark wit.
Denzel plays the role of an American cop in an old-fashioned police procedural with such gritty realism and conviction that it really appeals to me.I like Denzel not just because he consistently delivers good cinema. The story of how he became one of Hollywood’s most beloved and respected names is fascinating to me.
Denzel had an upbringing that was difficult, and he struggled throughout much of his schooling, so his fame had to be earned. Despite falling so far behind in university, he kept going and never gave up. “I have no idea what success means. I’m happy. Success is inner peace to me. That’s a good day,” the actor once said.
To me, his best life lesson is: “Faith gets you far, luck gets you close, but working hard will get you where you want to go.”. You cannot outsmart life, and there is no shortcut. If you want to reach your highest potential, you have to work hard and don’t stop. Do whatever it takes to get where you want to be one day. There is only one thing preventing you from reaching your dreams: the stories you have told yourself that you cannot.
